We test each model on rounds it has never seen and compare its scorecard with the real score, which the golfer tapped on the Watch after every stroke.
Swing data we are looking for
- Golfers who walk. Carrying or pushing a bag for the whole round, instead of riding in a cart.
- Phone in a different spot. Right front pocket, back pocket, or in the golf bag.
- Left-handed swings. Full swings, chips and putts from left-handed golfers.
- Lots of short game. Chips, pitches, bunker shots and long putting sessions on the green.
- Different putting styles. Long or arm-lock putters, claw or cross-handed grips.
- Slow rounds. Rounds with long waits on tees and near greens.
